Terms and Conditions

1. Scope of Application

These terms and conditions apply to all courses, training sessions, examinations, registrations and services offered by Heli Safety Academy, part of Heli N.V., established at IZ Vantegem, Vantegemstraat 9, B-9230 Wetteren, Belgium (company number BE 0423.833.085).

By registering for a course, examination or other service of Heli Safety Academy, the participant (or client) declares having read and accepted these terms and conditions.

2. Registrations

Registrations for courses and examinations are made via the website, by e-mail or through other channels accepted by Heli Safety Academy.

A registration becomes final only after:

  • confirmation by Heli Safety Academy, and
  • receipt of the due payment, unless otherwise agreed.

Heli Safety Academy reserves the right to refuse a registration without stating reasons.

3. Prices and Payment

All stated prices are expressed in euros and exclude VAT unless stated otherwise.

Invoices are payable within the stated payment term. In case of late payment, Heli Safety Academy reserves the right to:

  • refuse or suspend participation in courses or examinations;
  • charge additional administrative costs in accordance with the law.

4. Cancellation by the Participant

Cancellations must be made in writing (by e-mail).

Unless otherwise agreed, the following cancellation conditions apply:

  • cancellation more than 14 calendar days before the start: no charge;
  • cancellation between 14 and 7 calendar days before the start: 50% of the course fee;
  • cancellation less than 7 calendar days before the start or in case of absence: 100% of the course fee.

A participant may be replaced by a colleague, subject to prior notification and approval by Heli Safety Academy.

5. Cancellation or Modification by Heli Safety Academy

Heli Safety Academy reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a course or examination in case of force majeure, insufficient registrations, instructor illness or other organizational reasons.

In such case, the amount already paid will be refunded or, in consultation, transferred to a new date. No additional compensation can be claimed.

6. Participation and Conduct

Participants undertake to:

  • strictly comply with safety instructions;
  • respect the instructions of trainers and examiners;
  • behave correctly and professionally.

Heli Safety Academy reserves the right to exclude participants who endanger safety or the proper conduct of the course, without entitlement to a refund.

7. Liability

Heli Safety Academy makes every effort to provide high-quality and safe training. Liability of Heli Safety Academy is limited to intent and gross negligence.

Heli Safety Academy is not liable for:

  • loss, theft or damage to personal property;
  • accidents caused by failure to follow instructions;
  • indirect damage such as consequential loss or loss of income.

8. Certificates and Diplomas

Certificates, attestations or diplomas are only issued if the participant:

  • has effectively participated;
  • has passed the required evaluations or examinations;
  • has fulfilled all administrative and financial obligations.

9. Intellectual Property

All course materials, presentations, documents and content remain the property of Heli Safety Academy and may not be copied, distributed or used commercially without prior written permission.

10. Privacy

The processing of personal data is carried out in accordance with applicable privacy legislation (GDPR). More information can be found in the Privacy and Cookie Policy on our website.

11. Applicable Law and Competent Court

These terms and conditions are governed by Belgian law.

In case of dispute, only the courts of the district of East Flanders have jurisdiction.
