IS-003 - Telehandler and IS-031 - Rotating Telehandler included.
Teaching how to handle a rotating telescopic handler used for hoisting loads efficiently and safely in order to:
- Move in an industrial environment
- Pick up loads at a height and/or from a distance
- Move loads safely and efficiently
- Deliver loads at a height and/or from a distance
- Load and unload a truck safely and efficiently
- Hitch loads, move them while being suspended and deliver them correctly
Program
- The training
- The theoretic exam takes 20 minutes (max 30)
- The practical exam takes about 30 minutes
Conditions of admission
- Being at least 18 years old
- Being in possession of a certificate of medical fitness (a/o for safety function)

Target audience
- People working with a rotating telescopic handler and who, using adjusted hoisting gear, must move suspended loads on company premises, in plants, whereby they must stack loads from a distance and at a height, drive with the telescopic handler and stack loads within a limited space, under time pressure, near important installations, load and unload goods onto/from trucks, in places with traffic of persons and/or other means of traffic
Results
The examinee can explain what a telescopic handler is and knows the different applications
The examinee can name the works for which a telescopic handler can be used
The examinee can recognize other similar means of transport for horizontal and vertical transport
The examinee can name auxiliary equipment for horizontal and vertical transport and for handling special loads
The examinee can recognize different types of pallets and storage methods
The examinee can explain the major concepts with regard to the construction of the telescopic handler The examinee can interpret correctly the basic regulations for using a telescopic handler used for hoisting loads
The examinee can interpret correctly the safety and traffic regulations
The examinee knows what to consider when hitching loads
The examinee can name the factors that may have an impact on the stability
The examinee can interpret the conventional hand and arm signals
The examinee can interpret a load diagram
The examinee can name the parts of the pre-start inspection
The examinee can execute a Last-Minute Risk Analysis (LMRA)
Execute the pre-start inspection procedure
Performing a slalom, forward and in reverse, with 4-wheel steering
Driving with a suspended load through a small passage, forward and in reverse
Picking up a high load onto the forks, moving and delivering it
Picking up various loads onto the forks and delivering them at a height
Long, horizontal load, minimum 4 metres, hitching, putting up and laying down the load in another indicated direction
Moving a suspended load through a slalom trajectory
Neutralizing the pendulum motion of a load
Parking of telescopic handler at designated place
